Over the last three years a small group of Villagers have been trying to remove a large area of Himalayan Balsam from a plot of land at the rear of the Samuel white field adjacent to the public foot path. The area has not changed in over 100 years and is an area of outstand significance in its preservation of a wetland site that would at one time cover much of Middleton.
