Welcome to the Middleton Community Web Site
The Health, Education and Well-Being group (HEW) was formed in March 2008 as a sub-group of the Parish Plan.  Its remit is to promote health, education and well-being within the parish.  The group considers that isolation and the lack of clarity of where to access services are major issues for us in the Parish, situated as we are on the cusp of North Warwickshire and bordering the counties of Staffordshire and West Midlands.  The main initiatives include (i) contributing regular articles to Middleton Matters promoting health, education and well-being, (ii) planning activities and events, and (iii) developing a Community Information Pack containing information about health, education, leisure and community topics

To date we have produced regular articles for Middleton Matters covering a range of topics including environmental issues, crime prevention, and personal stress management.  We also introduced the Middleton 'Free-cycle' page where goods are offered freely as gifts to others in the Parish and parishioners can advertise 'wanted' items too.

We put on a variety of activities and events including Table Tennis sessions, R'…Ambles, Indoor Bowls and regular Sunday morning Power Walking.  Recent new initiatives include a family picnic and a litter picking session.

The first edition of the Community Information Pack (C.I.P.) has now been completed and copies can be downloaded from this website.  Hard copies are also available on request.  Suggestions for items that could be added to the C.I.P. are warmly welcomed.

The HEW group hold regular meetings.  These are lively affairs where we consider both ongoing activities and events as well as new ideas.  If you would like to be involved, either by joining the group as a member or by offering any help, suggestions or comments, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Ann Bancroft (Group Lead), Tel: 0121 308 4554, email: annbancroft@hotmail.co.uk, or speak to any group member.
