What's it all about?

The Fete is all about having fun and raising money.

There is plenty to do and see at the Fete for both children and adults.  From Pat and Penny's Emporium to fun activities such as Golf Chipping, Football Shootout, Coconut shy, Archery, Bouncy Castle to the Grand Draw Stand, Book Stall and Bottle & Can stall.  There is the Wow factor with the Pet's corner and the Play Barn for the children.  In addition, there is music from the Swingalong Band and a sport event to keep everyone entertained.  Watch this space for an update on further activities.

There is also plenty to eat and drink, whatever you fancy, from a BBQ and Bar on the Green to Cakes and Tea in the Refreshment Room.

In addition, Middleton Horticultural Society (MHS) show off their wares in the magnificent marquee and everyone can join in the activities as all are offered the opportunity to enter personal contributions in 'Best of' competitions, such as cakes, jams, photos, artwork, craftwork, not to mention, of course, flower displays with bouquets, themed flower arrangements  and garden herbs.  Also, watch out for some bargains on the nearby Plant Stall.

This year the Fete will begin with a 'Cycle Race' three times round the Village block.  Be ready with those water hoses to help cool the cyclists down as they pass.

Towards the end of the Fete there is the Grand Draw when some lucky winners will go away with some super prizes.  This is followed by an auction in the Horticultural Marquee at which all that lovely home made MHS produce is up for grabs to the highest bidder.
All this in the name of a good cause, of course!
